FOCUS AND SCOPE

The journal presents articles on topical problems of physical education and sports, as well as problems of the formation, restoration, strengthening, and preservation of health of representatives of various groups of the population, physical therapy, physical rehabilitation, and medical physical culture. It also reflects the means of physical education, its forms, and methods, and the basic principles of health-saving technologies and disease prevention.

The journal publishes articles that contain only scientifically verified and proven facts.

MISSION

The main mission of the Journal is to collect, preserve and bring to people scientifically-based information on how to improve health through physical exercises, how to improve a body through sports, how to win and do the impossible, overcome yourself, recover from various diseases. The journal is focused on natural patterns, on the ultimate expediency and harmony of nature. In the harmony of nature, there is both a source of health, and natural science to win, including in sports, and a force that gives impetus and the ability to overcome illness with the help of the most natural thing that a person has - movement. Therefore, on the cover of the Journal, there are illustrations of natural landscapes in different seasons: spring, summer, autumn, winter. It comes out four times a year, just like the season change.

HISTORY

The journal was founded in 2015, initially as a collection of articles from a conference dedicated to the memory of Professor V.P. Zaitsev - a specialist in the field of medicine, rehabilitation, and physical therapy. Holding this conference after the death of V.P. Zaitsev was taken over by the department of sports games of the H.S. Scovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University (currently the Department of Olympic and Professional Sports, Sports Games and Tourism). In 2016, the journal received a certificate of state registration, the publisher is H.S. Scovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University. Then the Journal published articles in four languages ??- Ukrainian, Russian, English, and Polish.

The journal is developing, and this is reflected in the following events: in 2018, in April, it received the status of a specialized publication in Ukraine, and in July of the same year, one of the first of all publications in Ukraine, received the category B status in the field of pedagogical sciences and in areas of physical education and sports. In 2019, the journal switched entirely to English, and since 2019 all articles are published only in English. In July 2019, the journal became a specialized category B scientific publication in Ukraine on new codes of specialties in the field of pedagogy (specialty 011-016) and in the field of physical culture and sports (specialty 017).

At the moment, the journal is included in such scientific databases as Scopus, ResearchGate, ROAD (Directory of Open Access scholarly Resources); Directory of Open Access Journal ()DOAJ); crossref; The European Reference Index for the Humanities and the Social Sciences (ERIH PLUS); Index Copernicus, ICV 2020=100.00; PBN (Polish Scholarly Bibliography); NBUV (National Library named after V. I. Vernadsky, electronic fund); Google Scholar; open AIRE.

The inclusion of the journal in the Scopus database took place on June 15, 2021. In mid-August 2021, the Scopus database indexed the first two issues of the journal for 2021, and in March 2022, the personal page of the journal appeared in the Scopus database. In June 2022, data on journal citation rates in the Scopus database began to be provided.

On June 6, 2022, by order number 530 of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the journal "Health, Sports, Rehabilitation" was included in category A of specialized publications of Ukraine in three areas: medicine (specialty 227 Physical therapy, ergotherapy), pedagogy (specialties 011, 012, 013 , 014,015, 016), physical culture and sports (specialty 017). The old codes of specialties also remained relevant: pedagogy (13.00.02) and physical education and sports (24.00.01, 24.00.02. 24.00.03).

In order for an article submitted to a journal to be published, it must comply with the theme of the journal and modern requirements accepted in all world-class scientific publications: an interesting topic, an appropriate level of scientific justification, and design.

The journal invites everyone for whom science is not just a stage of career growth, but the call of the soul; all who are ready to plunge headlong into the study of the unknown and leave their mark on the world knowledge system.
